About Us
Jacobs International was formed by Chris Jacobs in 1989 to provide a venue where the creative exploration of the space where market, management and technology intersect can be undertaken in a conscious environment. Having spent 20 years working in the hot house intensity of international computer companies, it seemed like time to prove that you could do good and vibrant work yet still enjoy time with your family and contribute to your community.
In the more than 15 years since, we have undertaken exciting, unique projects in areas as varied as:
-
The popularization of international information and communications standardswith international industry groups, The Open Group and the Telecommunications Management Forum, we did some of the earliest work to move international industry standards from the labs of the vendor community into the procurement requirements of mainstream commercial organization.
-
The implementation of a model of strategic plan development designed to obtain the active buy-in of a wide group of independent & semi-independent stakeholdersfor the M Financial Group, a major provider of insurance vehicles for high net worth individuals, we assisted in their most significant ownership transition by managing the development of a five-year strategic plan and the development of operational plans that resulted in a doubling of revenues.
-
The development of an effective institution-wide marketing infrastructure that delivers measurable value to the institution as a whole and to individual client operationsThe Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is a $1.5 billion organization and the #1 ranked pediatric hospital in the U.S. We helped them to introduce a structure, work practices and supporting technology that enables them to deliver the marketing and communications services required by such a world-class institution.
-
The development and launch of the first national collegiate sports rewards programwe designed, developed and undertook the initial launch with the top rated collegiate sports brand, the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, of College Sports Rewards, a service of KnowledgeFlow, Inc. This was followed by the successful negotiation of an agreement with the agency representing 35 more Division I schools to develop their rewards programs.
We continue to pride ourselves on being an entrepreneurial “low rise” organization from whom you get the personal input of our highly experienced principals not bureaucratic structures and entry-level consultants. Our emphasis is on providing value added professional expertise that complements your in-house skills. We actively work to produce tangible results for you.
